The schedule for Asia Cup 2022 is finally out. Asian Cricket Council chief Jay Shah shared the schedule on his official Twitter handle on August 2, Tuesday. The much anticipated India-Pakistan will be held on August 28 in Dubai. UAE was given the hosting rights for the tournament after it had to be moved out of Sri Lanka due to the latter’s economic crisis.

India, Pakistan and a qualifier will be in Group A while Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan are in Group B. The top two teams from both groups will qualify for the Super 4 stage which starts on September 3. Thus there is a high probability of India and Pakistan meeting more than once in the tournament.

There will be 6 teams that will be part of the Asia Cup 2022. Out of these, 5 teams are already confirmed to be part of the tournament. Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan are the 5 confirmed teams. One team from Hong Kong, Kuwait, Singapore and UAE will capture the spot of the 6th team.
