Twitter Reacts As India Defeat Arch-Rivals Pakistan By 5 Wickets In Asia Cup 2022
India finished their quota of 20 overs after over two hours, but they should have been the happier team at the end of the first innings. In the opening over of the crucial match, two reviews were used, both of which were successful for Pakistan.
With a few stunning drives, Captain Babar Azam got things moving, but Bhuvneshwar ultimately bounced him out for 10.
Fakhar Zaman decided to walk off after nicking one for which the Indians made no appeals.
Iftikhar Ahmed and Mohammad Rizwan stitched together a partnership after that but Ahmed was dismissed after he attempted to boost the ante by being struck by a 142 kph bouncer bowled by Hardik. Iftikhar Ahmed and Rizwan added 45 runs together.
India was taken aback when Shahnawaz Dahani blasted two massive sixes to raise Pakistan to 147 after they were reduced to 128-9. In the end, Haris Rauf also got 13 out of 7.
Naseem Shah took a wicket in a T20I with his second ball. KL Rahul got out for a golden duck.
But Virat Kohli after struggling in the beginning played some delightful shots. But once Rohit fell, Ravindra Jadeja was sent at 4. By holing out to long-off, Rohit Sharma put an end to his miserable time at the wicket. In the same over, one slog-sweep top edge fell in clear space, and another went for a sweet six.
In the next over of Nawaz, with an uninspiring chip to long-off, Virat Kohli also got out. Suryakumar Yadav denied Nawaz a hat-trick. Surya and Jadeja did not look comfortable. In the end, India won by 5 wickets.
