In the Super 4 match of the Asia Cup 2022, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl first against India at the Dubai International Stadium. India managed to score only 181 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs.

Mohammad Rizwan played a crucial inning for Pakistan and was successful in getting his team to victory. Pakistan’s wicketkeeper-batsman scored 71 runs off 41 balls to lead his team to victory in 182 run chase.

Team India Made Two Changes To The Playing XI

In the first match between India and Pakistan, Rishabh Pant was dropped from the XI and Dinesh Karthik kept the stumps. Hardik Pandya returned to the squad after the rest and replaced Dinesh Karthik. After Ravindra Jadeja’s injury, Deepak Hooda and Ravi Bishnoi were named in the playing XI for the first time in the Asia Cup 2022.

Virat Kohli Scored Match Saving Fifty

Virat Kohli has scored his second half-century in the last two games. Ex-Indian Skipper scored 60 runs off 44 balls with the help of four fours and a six. Hardik Pandya, who was the hero in the last match, could not even open his account. All-rounder was dismissed by Mohammed Hasnain and Mohammad Nawaz took a simple catch. Hardik returned to the pavilion without scoring after playing two balls.

Wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant was also dismissed after scoring 14 runs off 12 balls. He was sent to the pavilion by Shadab Khan on the last ball of the 14th over. The left-handed batsman played the wrong shot at the wrong time as he tried to play a reverse sweep, but the ball went straight into the hands of the point fielder.

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was not happy with Rishabh Pant’s batting approach and it was seen that he was angry with the batter when he returned to the dressing room after getting out. Some of his photos and videos are going viral on social media. In this, Rohit is seen scolding Pant in the dressing room for playing a poor shot.

India has to win their remaining matches against Sri Lanka and Afghanistan to qualify for the finals. India will play their next game against Sri Lanka on September 6, Tuesday, at the Dubai International Stadium.
