Virat Kohli has been stealing all the limelight ever since he started playing cricket. The right-hander is arguably the best cricketer of his generation, having scored truckloads of runs in all three formats of the game with incredible consistency.

Virat Kohli during the time he was captain of the team played a great role in shaping the careers of many players and Mohammed Siraj was one among them. The fast bowler received enough backing from his captain despite going for a plethora of runs.

However, the Indian team is now reaping the fruit of Virat Kohli’s backing as Mohammed Siraj has become one of the lethal fast bowlers for the team in all three formats of the game. And it’s fair to say that all this couldn’t have been possible without what Kohli did.

Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj since then has been very grateful for Virat Kohli and has been quite vocal about that. He also congratulated batter on completing 15 years in international cricket. He hailed Virat Kohli as a champion cricketer who never backs down. He lauded the batter by posting pictures on his Twitter account.

He has the second most number of centuries in world cricket and has scored 12898 runs in ODIs along with 8676 Test runs and 4008 T20I runs, which is the highest by any batter.

“While on Kohli, I don’t think he should play more 50-overs matches after this World Cup. Also, if you see him in T20s, it takes a lot out of him. I think he should play for at least six more years and break the 100 hundreds record of Sachin Tendulkar. Kohli has it in him to break the record. He should focus on Test cricket after this World Cup, and break this record,” Shoaib Akhtar said.

Sourav Ganguly, who was attending an event was asked about Shoaib Akhtar’s comment on Virat Kohli. Replying to which he stated: “Virat Kohli should play whatever cricket he wants to play because he performs.”
