IND vs PAK: Pitches Used For The West Indies-India Tests Rated As "Average" By ICC

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has rated pitches for both West Indies vs India Tests as average. The two games took place in Dominica and Port of Spain respectively. The surface of the first game was quite slow whereas in the second game ended in a draw.

Match referee Jeff Crowe initially had given below below-average rating to the pitch of the first game. The surface turned a lot and West Indies were bundled out for 150 runs in the first innings and then also were wrapped up for a low total in the second innings, losing the game by the margin of innings of 141 runs.

Cricket West Indies had an option to challenge Jeff Crowe’s rating but it would’ve landed them in problem. If they had done so then they needed to address the ICC regarding the sub-standard pitch conditions.

The second match between West Indies and India ended in a draw due to rain also received an average rating for pitch. The series ended in favour of the visitors. They won the first game and won the series by the margin of 1-0. After that, they also won the ODI series but lost the T20I series.

IND vs PAK: India to face Pakistan next in the Asia Cup 2023

India team is currently in Sri Lanka for the Asia Cup 2023. The Rohit Sharma-led have qualified for the Super Four stage of the tournament. They played their first game against Pakistan but due to rain, the match was washed out. The second game against Nepal was dominated by them as they won by a margin of 10 wickets.

India is now slated to face Pakistan next in their first game of the Super Four. The match between the arch-rivals will take place on Sunday (10th September). The tournament no doubt will be a great preparation for the team for the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023.
