The BCCI announced the squads for Australia and South Africa T20I series along with naming India’s squad for the T20 World Cup 2022. All three squads are almost similar with Rohit Sharma leading the side. Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel have made a return to the side. India have named a four-man pace attack with Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Arshdeep Singh along with Bumrah and Harshal.

Mohammed Shami who is among the reserves in India’s T20 World Cup squad is in the squad for the Australia T20I series. With all the bowling might India possess, batting is still India’s stronger suit. Virat Kohli looks to be back in form. Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul also scored some crucial runs in the Asia Cup. 1) Rohit Sharma -KL Rahul

Rohit and Rahul can be one of the combinations that India would like to try. They have opened together in the past and have been successful as well. In the Asia Cup Super 4 game against Pakistan, Rohit and Rahul scored 28 each and added 54 inside the powerplay to give India a good start.

That was their best opening stand in the tournament. Individually, however, a struck one fifty-plus score each. Rohit scored 72 against Sri Lanka while Rahul scored 62 against Afghanistan.

2) Rohit Sharma-Virat Kohli

Cricket experts want Rohit and Virat to open the batting for India in the T20 World Cup 2022. Rohit and Rahul too have opened for India and have batted well together. While Rohit is India’s designated opener, Kohli has done well whenever he has opened the batting for India in the format. He recently scored his maiden T20I ton against Afghanistan. This was his 71st international ton overall that came after almost three years.

Cricket experts also believe that Rohit and Kohli are best suited to open in Australian pitches where the ball comes quickly onto the bat and they can play through the line. Besides that, both can give India a great start.

3) Rohit Sharma-Suryakumar Yadav

Rohit and Suryakumar too have opened for India. They did it in the series against West Indies and it worked well to a certain extent. SKY with his ability to play around the ground is a good prospect for India at the top. He also has the highest strike rate among all the Indians in T20Is touching close to 180. He can score quickly when he gets set. He also scored his maiden T20I ton recently against England.
