Tim David, the Singapore Australian batter is all set to make his Australia Debut in the upcoming T20I Series against India. The finisher would be thrilled to face Indian quicks as earlier he was seen in IPL 2022 thrashing them all around the park. Cricket Australia would be hoping that he continues his franchise form in International Arena.

Tim David has played 127 T20s and amassed 2725 runs at an average of 31.68 and with a healthy strike rate of 163.17. He has scored 11 half-centuries and there is no doubt that why he was a force to reckon with. Tim David would undoubtedly be anxious as playing franchise cricket & International cricket is quite different.

Pat Cummins on Tim David

It’s great to see Tim David get his chance. He’s been right up there with the best in the world. Batting in the middle order of T20 cricket is a really tough spot.

“You see most of the run-scorers opening, or batting top of the order. It’s really hard to be consistent coming in when there’s spin bowlers or at the end of the innings. I think he’s been fantastic,” said the fast bowler.

If he gets his chance, hopefully, he can continue doing what he’s been doing in the domestic leagues around the world. I think he’s an X-factor. He just goes about it slightly differently so look forward to it,” said Cummins.

Time Running out for Aaron Finch

Captain Aaron Finch would be hoping for some runs as his form has gone from bad to worse. Earlier during Chappell Hadlee Trophy, he announced his retirement from ODI Cricket due to a string of low scores. Cricket Australia would hope that he doesn’t hang up his boots when less than a month is left.

The skipper’s weakness is that he easily gets trapped LBW and once again his chink in the armour would be exposed. Captain Rohit Sharma would look to expose Australia’s middle order which isn’t that powerful. If the Men in Blue can restrict Aussies under 160 runs then they are in the driver’s seat.
