The fourth Test match between India and Australia is being played today at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad (Match 9). Australia’s captain, Steve Smith, has won the toss and chosen to bat first. With one match left, India have a 2-1 advantage in the Test series.

In the fourth and final Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Australia chose to bat and posted 149/2 in 62 overs at Tea, losing some of their momentum against India. Usman Khawaja and Cameron Green are currently batting for Australia and will be playing cautiously because they are four wickets down. Khawaja has already scored fifty-six runs and will now go for a century. Ravindra Jadeja removed Steve Smith (38).
In terms of the World Test Championship, the game is crucial, and if India win, they will join Australia in the final, which is set to take place at The Oval in June. Even a loss won’t ruin India’s prospects of qualifying, but much will depend on the result of the Test series between Sri Lanka and New Zealand, which also begins on Thursday. Australia, on the other side, will try to maintain their winning streak and wrap out the series evenly. In the four-match series, the hosts currently have a 2-1 lead.

The Indian bowler was overjoyed, and Mohammed Shami was quickly embraced by his teammates, as the Aussies were in serious trouble at 186/4 in 74.2 overs.

Australian captain Steve Smith won the toss and chose to bat first on a pitch that appears to be an excellent batting track. Australia will enter the competition unchanged and will try to put up a strong score. India, on the other hand, has recalled Mohammad Shami in place of Mohammed Siraj and will want to win the fourth Test in Ahmedabad at any cost in order to secure a place in the WTC finals.
