IND vs AUS: WATCH- Mohammed Shami Strikes The Timber As Josh Inglis Departs For 26

The opening ODI in the three-match series between India and Australia has witnessed a great contest between both sides. While Mitchell Marsh provided the visitors with a great platform up top, the Indian bowling attack led by veteran pacer Mohammed Shami has slowly started to pull the game back in India’s favour.

Australia started off hot with despite losing Travis Head in the second over with Mohammed Siraj cleaning up the batter. Mitch Marsh and Steve Smith put up a 72 runs partnership for the second wicket followed by 52 runs partnership between Marnus Labuschagne and Marsh for the 3rd wicket to get Australia to a good position on the board.

However, it seems like Australia have struggled to keep the runs flowing after Marsh’s dismissal as the team have lost wickets at regular intervals. Wicketkeeper batter Josh Inglis who was named the replacement for the sick Alex Carey was looking good out at the middle but could not convert his knock into a big innings thanks to a brilliant delivery from Mohammed Shami.

Jos Inglis was looking stable out in the middle as he kept the runs flowing. However, his short stay at the crease was brought to an end by Indian pacer Mohammed Shami as he cleaned up the batter.

After smashing Shami off for a maximum in the 28th over, Inglis once again tried to hit the bowler for a boundary along the point but was a tad too late with his timing as the ball took the inside edge of the bat before ricocheting into the stumps.

Australia despite their good start now look in a tough position in the game after losing five wickets as it would be tough for the side to get to 300 runs with just five wickets left in hand.
