Indian Cricket Team is all set to play a high-voltage Test Series against Australia commencing in February. This Test Series is quite important for India as they have to win the Series by 3-0 or 3-1 to stake a claim in the WTC final. Suryakumar Yadav could be the ‘X’ factor for India as he has a wide range of shots and can surprise the opponent.
The Men in Blue will have to bring their ‘A’ game against Australia as this time Aussies will be well prepared. The peculiarity of the Australian Cricket Team is that they are no longer dependent on Steven Smith & David Warner to amass runs.
Suresh Raina on Suryakumar Yadav
Suresh Raina was having a conversation with Aakash Chopra on Viacom 18 Sports and was asked about Suryakumar Yadav should play 3 formats. “Absolutely, the way he is performing. I think he should play in all three formats and without him, all three formats should not even exist. The way he performed, the way he shows intent, the way he plans different shots, he also plays fearlessly and knows how to use the dimension of the ground.” said Suresh Raina.
“He is Mumbai player, and he knows how to play red ball cricket. I think he has a great chance- playing Test Cricket will give him another establishment in ODIs and some stability as well. He will score multiple 100s and then 200s.” he added.
Enthralling Contests on Cards
Aussies are on the brink of getting qualified for the WTC final where one win would seal the final. Aussies would be banking on Usman Khawaja to play long & effective innings for the team. It would be interesting to see how Marnus Labuschagne fares as this would be his maiden India tour.
The former skipper Virat Kohli doesn’t have a promising record against Australia in the recent times. The batter will have to make sure that he sticks to the crease. The management should stick to one combination as chopping and changing won’t work all the time especially in a crunch series.
