Despite being a member of the Pakistan team for almost five years, the left-hander said he is still subjected to criticism, something he has become familiar to.
Imam-ul-Haq has discussed his inning against Australia, the pitch conditions, and the forthcoming second Test match in Karachi against Australia.

Imam, speaking to the media in a virtual press conference hosted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), credited his parents and their prayers for his back-to-back hundreds.
“It’s always a wonderful feeling when you score runs against an opponent like Australia. My recent stay in the United States was quite beneficial to me. I’ve been a member of Pakistan’s team for about a year, but I was just the 12th man, which helped. I learned a lot while sitting outside since I wanted to recreate my ODI results in Tests. I’d like to express my gratitude to my parents for their prayers as well ” He stated.
Iman-Ul-Haq discussed his return to Test cricket:
After more than a year away from the Pakistan Test team, Imam returned to the squad. He put in strong performances against an all-star Australian bowling lineup.
Many, though, remain unconvinced, citing the pitch’s description as “flat” and “unsuitable for pacers.”
In response to these remarks, Imam stated: “Nobody wants to play a game that ends in a tie. The organizers can’t prepare the pitch on my behalf, and he is not a family member. When we tour Australia, Cricket Australia does not curate pitches based on our suggestions. Each team selects pitches depending on their individual skills. My responsibility is to execute regardless of the sort of pitch.”

“Whether I am on the team or not, I am constantly criticized.. I’m not bothered by the criticism because it’s my duty to perform. It is up to the management to choose whether or not my runs in the Rawalpindi Test match were of sufficient quality. After hitting a century, I made a sign for the captain and my teammates. I shall not, however, explain the reason for this “.He Added
At National Stadium Karachi, Pakistan will play Australia in the second Test match, and all eyes will be on the batting surface.
