SL vs AUS: Match Preview – Australia Tour of Sri Lanka 2022, 2nd Test. Australia and Sri Lanka are set to lock horns with each other in the 2nd Test of the ongoing series. The SL vs AUS 2nd Test begins on July 8 (Friday) at Galle International Stadium in Galle.

Australia defeated Sri Lanka by 10 wickets in the 1st Test. Batting first, Sri Lanka piled up 212-10 in the 1st innings. Angelo Matthews scored 39 runs while Niroshan Dickwella scored the most 58 runs for the team. Nathan Lyon bagged an amazing 5-wicket haul for Australia.

In reply, Australia came up with 321 all-out, earning a 109-run lead. Usman Khawaja slammed a good knock of 71 runs for the team. Cameron Green also smacked a beautiful knock of 77 runs to take Australia to a good total. Ramesh Mendis picked a 4-wicket haul.

In the 2nd innings, Sri Lanka completely failed to come up with a good batting show. They were bundled out for just 113 against a lead of 109 runs, with Dimuth Karunaratne scoring the most 23 runs. Later, Australia easily managed to score the 5 runs needed for victory and won by 10 wickets.

Dimuth Karunaratne leads Sri Lanka in SL vs AUS Test series. Sri Lanka is 0-1 down in the two-match Test series after losing the opening Test. For Sri Lanka, Niroshan Dickwella scored the most 61 runs in the 1st Test.

Skipper Karunaratne was next with 51 runs in 2 innings. In bowling, Ramesh Mendis scalped the most 4 wickets for Sri Lanka in the 1st Test. He was followed by Asitha Fernando and Jeffrey Vandersay, both of whom picked 2 wickets each in the match.
