The 10th Match of the Big Bash League (BBL) is being played between Brisbane Heat & Melbourne Renegades. Brisbane Heat had won the toss and had opted to bat first. The team had a dreadful start to their innings as they lost 2 wickets and managed to score 24 runs in the powerplay overs.
The Brisbane Heat skipper Pierson took played a fantastic knock of 45 runs in 30 balls and took the total to a challenging 137-8. The bowlers were getting ample assistance from the pitch. Tom Rogers, the right-arm speedster was the wrecker in chief where he took 4 scalps and gave away only 23 runs.
Michael Neser Takes A Hat-trick
In response to the 138 targets, Michael Neser of Brisbane Heat took a wicket on the very first ball of the match as he dismissed Sam Harper. The new batter Jake Fraser had smashed him for a boundary and scored 2 runs and on the last ball of the over, Neser bowled an out-swinger as the batter nicked the bowl to the keeper Peirson.
Nic Maddinson & Skipper Aaron Finch adopted a cautious approach in the next over. Neser thrashed Maddinson’s stumps on the very first ball of the 3rd over and later bowled Wells too as the score was 9-4 and took a BBL hat-trick.

Crucial Phase for Melbourne Renegades
All eyes would be on skipper Finch as he will have to make sure that he sticks to the crease and 138 is not a big score in modern cricket. It would be interesting to see how Russell approaches the innings as his wicket would be quite decisive as they don’t have a long batting lineup.
Brisbane Heat need to keep on picking up wickets. The skipper Peirson will have to use Swepson quite carefully as his 4 overs can turn match-deciding. The way Aaron Finch has been playing in the BBL so far, the Brisbane Heat can’t take him lightly.
