They have occupied the top two spots on the points table. St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots played their first game against Barbados Royals. However, Sherfane Rutherford and Dwayne Bravo then led the recovery and helped the team reach to a winning total. The duo shared a crucial 115-run partnership for the fifth wicket and took the game away from the Royals. Rutherford scored 53 off 47, while Dwayne Bravo amassed 47 off  35 balls. At the end of the first innings, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots compiled a mammoth 175-run total.

The destructive opening pair of Glenn Phillips and Johnson Charles didn’t last too long as Barbados Royals lost their first two wickets for just 27 runs. Shai Hope (44 off 38) and Azam Khan (28 off 16) showed some fight but it was never going to be enough. St. Kitts eventually won the game by 21 runs. With the ball, Dominic Drakes and Sheldon Cottrell picked two wickets each.

Guyana Amazon Warriors played their first game against Trinbago Knight Riders. The Warriors posted a competitive 142-run total in the first innings, thanks to a brilliant half-century from Shimron Hetmyer. It proved enough for the defending champion as Kieron Pollard and Co. could only manage to score 133 in the second innings. Romario Shepherd starred with the ball for the Warriors. He finished with the figures of 3 for 15 in 3 overs. Besides, Imran Tahir and Odean Smith picked two wickets each.

Both St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots and Guyana Amazon Warriors would want to continue the winning momentum. It will be interesting to see who gets the better of whom on Saturday. Meanwhile, we look at the head-to-head record of both sides in the competition.
