The Madhya Pradesh Cricket Team represents the state of Madhya Pradesh in Indian domestic cricket. The team is governed by the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association and plays its home games at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. It competes in all the major domestic competitions of India.

The team first started competing in domestic cricket as the 'Holkar' team before the name was changed to Madhya Pradesh after independence. A team 'Central India' representing the central part of the country competed in the Ranji Trophy between 1934–35 and 1939–40, playing 12 matches.

In 1941, King Yashwantrao Holkar II organised the 'Holkar' team. The team played in the Ranji Trophy for just over a decade and enjoyed a sensational run in the competition. With legendary players such as C.K. Nayudu and Mushtaq Ali in the team, Holkar won the Ranji Trophy four times and finished second on six other occasions.

From 1950-51 season, Madhya Pradesh began competing in the domestic circuit. Holkar continued to compete in the Ranji Trophy till 1954-55 season. Later, all the teams became a part of the Madhya Pradesh team when the states were reorganised.

It took Madhya Pradesh almost five decades to win a major title. They won the now-defunct Wills Trophy in 1998-99 season with a win over Bengal in the final. In the same season, Madhya Pradesh also reached the final of the Ranji Trophy for the first time.

Madhya Pradesh finally won the Ranji Trophy for the first time in 2021-22 season with a famous win over heavyweights Mumbai
