3 Indian Players Included As ICC Announces Team Of The U19 World Cup 2022

The International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed the Most Valuable Team of the U-19 World Cup 2022, and the list included as many as three players from the champions, India.
Pakistan’s 17-year-old opener, Haseebullah Khan, and Aussie opener, Teague Wyllie were at the top of the order, followed by Dewald Brevis. Haseebullah scored 380 runs at an average of 76, including two centuries.
Wyllie aggregated 278 runs, including a 144-run knock against Uganda. As for Brevis, he emerged as the top run-scorer in the tournament with a whopping 506 runs, one more than the all-time record that was set by Shikhar Dhawan back in 2004.

Indian captain, Yash Dhull, and England captain, Tom Prest, were the next two batters on the list. They scored 229 and 292 runs respectively. Lankan all-rounder, Dunith Wellalage made it to the XI courtesy of his stunning all-rounder performance.
He picked up 17 wickets, the highest in the tournament, and 264 runs, which was the highest aggregate in his team. The Player of the Match in the final, Raj Bawa, was the final player in the lower order. He scored 252 runs and took nine wickets, including a 5-wicket haul in the final.

The bowling order is then filled out by Vicky Ostwal from India, who took 12 wickets, Bangladesh’s Ripon Mondol with 14, Pakistan’s Awais Ali with 15, and England’s pacer Josh Boyden with 15 wickets. The reserve player slot was filled up by Afghanistan’s Noor Ahmed who took 10 wickets.
