Royal Challengers Bangalore had another year in the IPL where they promised more than delivered. With eight wins and six losses, the side finished fourth in the IPL after they lost to Royal Challengers Bangalore to bow out of the IPL. They qualified for the playoffs back to back in 2021 and 2022 but could not make it to the final.

Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, endured their worst ever season in the IPL losing 10 games. They finished last on the log with CSK finishing ninth with 10 losses as well.

RCB, ahead of the next season, needs a reputed opening batsman to lessen the pressure on Virat Kohli. Plus, if they can find backups to the various other disciplines it should be a good mini-auction for the side ahead of IPL 2023. Carrying on with RCB articles, in this article, we look at three Mumbai Indians players RCB can look to draft in the mini-auction.

Brevis batted in the middle-order for Mumbai Indians. However, RCB can promote the South African youngster as an opener and he will bat alongside Faf du Plessis, the former South African skipper. He should also be given the license to play his naturally attacking game.

Royal Challengers Bangalore can target their former player Tymal Mills once again. Mills was one of Mumbai’s last-minute buys in the IPL 2022 mega auction. However, one of his big issues as an international cricketer is that he is prone to acute injuries.

Mayank Markande / Basil Thampi

Both are among the reserve players majorly for Mumbai Indians. However, both of them can be of good use to Royal Challengers Bangalore. Markande is a quality leg spinner who can be Yuzvendra Chahal’s replacement for the side. Thampi on the other hand has raw pace and can become a good part of their pace-bowling group.
