Indian Cricket Team in 2020-21 won back-to-back Test Series in Australia as they clinched the series by 2-1. Earlier in 2018-19 India had ended the drought of 70 years as they won the series by a margin of 2-1. The Men in Blue attained this feat under the former Head Coach Ravi Shastri.

The peculiarity of the 2020-21 feat was that India was missing a lot of players due to injuries. India’s lineup for the 4th Test Match at Gabba was quite inexperienced. Rishabh Pant was one of the main architects of the triumph where he smashed an unbeaten 89 runs in 138 balls in the target of 329 runs.

Great Win For India

The Men in Blue defeated Australia and breached the fortress Gabba after a span of 32 years which is quite a huge number. The stand-in skipper Ajinkya Rahane showed great leadership abilities as he backed the players and we should not forget that he had smashed a century in the 2nd Test Match which helped India square the Test Series.

Not many teams have defeated the mighty Aussies back to back that too when they have a full-fledged back. Tim Paine, the then-skipper received a lot of criticism for his tactics. Australia as a side was not able to capitalise on the opening Test match win when they had bundled out India for just 36 runs.
