The UPT20 League 2026 has concluded with Rinku Singh’s Meerut Mavericks winning this edition of the tournament, beating Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s Lucknow Falcons by 94 runs. The tournament saw some exciting talents who have been part of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises. This is the fourth edition of the league, which started back in 2023.
The tournament over the years has produced some big players who have later gone on to represent various IPL franchises and also the India National Cricket Team. From the likes of Suresh Raina to Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and now time for the youngsters to take over, as in this edition there have been players who can be the future for an India call-up.

Zeeshan Ansari
Zeeshan has been one of the upcoming talents in Indian cricket. The young leg-spinner has been a part of the IPL franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The 26-year-old spinner already made his debut for the Orange Army in the 2025 season and played 10 matches overall, picking 6 wickets in the season; following that, he did not feature in the 2026 season.
Ansari in the first season of the UPT20 League picked 24 wickets in 12 games at an economy rate of 7.60. In this season, he picked 15 wickets in 13 matches with an economy of just over 8. In the final of the 2026 season, he bowled well, picking two wickets for 12 runs in his four overs. He will surely be a future star for India.
Karan Sharma
Karan Sharma has recently won the Orange Cap in the tournament after he finished as the leading run-getter in the competition. He scored 519 runs in the tournament for Kashi Rudras in 12 matches, with an average of 47.18, including one century and four half-centuries in the UPT20 League.
The all-rounder has been a part of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) side and played for them in two seasons, in 2022 and 2023. However, he could not do his best in those seasons, as he played only 3 matches across the two seasons, scoring 16 runs. With a strong season this year, he would like to convert with a good IPL season if picked.
Swastik Chikara
Swastik Chikara has been in impressive form, scoring 370 runs in 13 matches and 13 innings, maintaining an average of 30.83 with three half-centuries for the Meerut Mavericks, and he finished in the top 5 run-scorers list in this season of the UPT20 League.
Despite having a reputation in local franchise leagues, he has never played an IPL match. The 21-year-old has been part of the IPL franchise RCB, but has not featured for them in a single game. He can be a big player who can play for India in the near future.
Sameer Rizvi
Rizvi first came into the limelight during the UPT20 League, and then in 2024 he was picked by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for a huge price of INR 8.40 crore, but he failed to live up to expectations.
Then, he played for Delhi Capitals in the 2025 season; he found his rhythm and scored 121 runs in just 4 innings. Following that, he had his best IPL season in 2026, scoring 252 runs in 11 matches with an average over 30 and a strike rate of 147.36.
Prashant Veer
Another Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder who earned a whopping price of INR 14.20 crore. He became the joint-most expensive uncapped player in IPL auction history (alongside Kartik Sharma). The UP all-rounder had a decent IPL with the bat as he batted lower down the order.
In the recently concluded UPT20 League, he scored 320 runs at a strike rate of 155 and pitched in with eight wickets, showcasing his all-round talent, and he is surely one of the players who can get a future India call-up.
