According to a report, the 7-match T20 International (T20I) series between Pakistan National Cricket Team and England National Cricket Team will be hosted by Lahore and Karachi.

Originally, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) wanted to host the 7-match T20I series between Pakistan and England at several venues including smaller venues like Faisalabad and Multan, however, the plan has been dropped by the board, as per a report.

Now, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to host all seven games of the T20I series, which will be played just ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia, at two or three main venues.

Meanwhile, a source has confirmed that a tentative draft of venues and dates had been sent to the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

The tentative dates are between September 15 and October 2 and the Pakistan Cricket Board is expecting a visit by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) delegation sometime in July-August.

A source has said that Karachi and Lahore are the two main venues for the 7-match T20I series and Rawalpindi will be the backup.

“Karachi and Lahore are the two main venues for the series and Rawalpindi has been added as a backup as well. But with England coming to Pakistan after 17 long years the conclusion is that there will be big crowds even in Karachi and Lahore for the matches,” a source was quoted as saying by NDTV, originally reported by PTI.

The same source further said that the Pakistan Cricket Board will be preparing smaller venues like Multan and Faisalabad for the Test series against England. Notably, England are expected to play a three-match Test series in Pakistan after the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022.
