It is an art to remain not out in successful run chases and there is nothing happier for a batsman than being at the crease when the winning runs have been hit while chasing down scores. It is not an easy task to hold their nerves in run chases but some players have been able to master it easily.

Azharuddin took India home with an unbeaten knock on 30 occasions which is the sixth most number of times in ODI cricket in successful run chases.

He is regarded to be India’s greatest match-winner and is very consistent when it comes to ODI cricket especially. He has remained not out 30 times in successful run chases so far which is the fifth most number of times overall. The number is set to increase as he still has a long way to go.

Ponting also was a match-winner with the bat and he remained 31 times not out in successful run chases for Australia which is the fourth most number of times in ODI cricket among all the cricketers.

Inzamam remained not out 32 times in successful run chases for Pakistan which is the third-highest number and he is currently serving as a cricket coach in Pakistan.

MS Dhoni has remained not out the most number of times in ODI cricket in successful chases and it is not a surprise that he is popularly called the captain cool for his ability to take the team home from pressure situations.

He averages more than 100 in successful run chases for India and has remained not out 47 times when India has chased down scores. He is one of the best one-day players of all time and this is one of the reasons behind it.
