Aakash Chopra accuses BCCI of giving special treatment to Virat Kohli over aggressive celebrations in IPL 2025

Former India National Cricket Team player Aakash Chopra took a subtle dig at Virat Kohli for his celebrations during the game between Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The two teams faced off each other on Sunday (20th April) at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur.

Virat Kohli was at his aggressive best during the game against Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The right-hander looked in a furious mood and seemed to be in revenge mode, especially after the defeat against the same opposition two days ago.

Kohli was pretty animated during the entire game. When the Punjab Kings were batting, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru batter celebrated each wicket aggressively as he was giving send-offs to each and every batter, enjoying the wickets with his bowlers.

Kohli, then with the bat, was also at his best. He played a magnificent inning for his team and made sure that he took his team home. The right-hander carried his bat through as Royal Challengers Bengaluru chased the target with 7 wickets in hand to win the 5th game of the season.

Kohli hit his third half-century in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The opening batter ended with an innings of unbeaten 73 runs off 54 balls. He batted with a strike rate of over 135 and also slammed 7 fours and 1 six during his stay at the crease against PBKS.

As Royal Challengers Bengaluru finished the game, Virat Kohli again came up with an aggressive celebration right in the face of Shreyas Iyer. Even the Punjab Kings skipper was unhappy with it and was seen telling the premier batter something about it. Notably, Kohli also gave send-offs to Prabhsimran Singh and Nehal Wadhera.
