Abhishek Sharma remarks he has to give his best to represent Team India

India’s Under-19 all-rounder Abhishek Sharma who was in the 2018 World Cup winning squad, believes that securing a spot in the national team will take a lot of hard work. India won the 2018 ICC U-19 World Cup on 3rd February.

India defeated Australia by a comprehensive margin of eight wickets.
Prithvi Shaw-led India won the title for the record fourth time courtesy a brilliant century by opener Manjot Kalra in the final.
En route the triumph of the tournament, India found heroes in some of the most difficult situations. The likes of Prithvi Shaw, Shubman Gill, Manjot Kalra, Kamlesh Nagarkoti rose to the occasion and helped the team to win.

Similarly, Abhishek Sharma was one of the key components of the Indian contingent.
The All-rounder played a handy knock of 23 runs in just 8 deliveries in the first match against Australia.
Abhishek then scored a half-century against Bangladesh in the quarterfinal. He was also impressive with the ball. And went on to get some crucial breakthroughs at some critical situations for India.
The next aim for every under-19 player Abhishek is to make to the senior level and simultenously believes that the road won’t be easy.

Sharma said, “I have to take out my own place. I will practice harder than I think I should. And if I do well in the matches and the whole camps, then I’ll be there very soon.
He also expressed his feeling after winning the World Cup, “We were dreaming about it since two years and when it happened we felt out of the world.”

The all-rounder further believes winning the Cup will eventually help them get more opportunities. He said, “I think it is a great opportunity for all of us after winning the tournament because we will get more chances regarding others. This is good platform for all of us. I will take this opportunity and practice harder and focus more.”
