Afghanistan takes on Bangladesh in a must-win game in the Super 8s on Tuesday, June 25. The match starts at 8.30 pm local time at the Arnos Vale Ground in Kingstown, St Vincent.

Afghanistan beat Australia by 21 runs as they successfully defended 148. They will now look to build on the same template against Bangladesh. They need to win against Bangladesh and hope that Australia loses to India in their last Super 8 game.

The advantage for Afghanistan is that they will be playing last and hence will know the exact qualification scenario against The Tigers.

Afghanistan players are better when batting first as opposed to when batting second. The openers are much more consistent in batting first and then second and hence the toss becomes a crucial one for Afghanistan as well.

After the famous win over Australia, Afghanistan would ideally like to field the same XI against Bangladesh barring any injury concerns. Afghanistan's batting and bowling depth gives them the edge of Bangladesh who have not been at their best in this campaign so far.
