Afghanistan tour of Zimbabwe 2024-25 full schedule announced

The Afghanistan National Cricket Team are all set to tour the Zimbabwe National Cricket Team for the all-format series later this year in December and January next year. The two teams will be locking horns with each other in the two Tests, three ODIs, and three T20Is.

Afghanistan's tour to Zimbabwe will begin with a three-match T20I series. The first game of the series will be played on 9th December followed by the second game to be played on 11th. The last match of the series will be played on 12th December and all the games will be played at the Harare Sports Club.

The ODI series between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe will begin on 15th December

After that Afghanistan and Zimbabwe will be locking horns with each other in the three-match ODI series. The series opener will begin on 15th December, followed by the second and third games to be played on 17th and 19th December. All the games will be played at the same venue in Harare.

The tour to Zimbabwe will conclude with the two-match Test series. The first game will be played from December 26 to 30 and the second from January 2 to 6. Both the games of the series will be played at the same venue in Bulawayo.

The Afghans will be arriving in Zimbabwe on December 6th. The team will be having two practice sessions before the first T20I match on December 9. They would be high on confidence going into The series, especially with the kind of cricket they have played of late.

Mirwais Ashraf, Chairman of the Cricket Board, talked about the upcoming tour, saying that it has been a good year for them both domestically and internationally. He expressed his confidence in his team winning the series and said:

“This year has been quite productive for us both domestically and internationally, and we’ve had good achievements. We are committed to striving hard and adding more bilateral cricket to our calendar in the next year and bringing more glory to our nation.”

“The all-format tour to Zimbabwe is a significant event for us. We have a rich history with Zimbabwe, and playing there has always been challenging, but it’s a challenge I believe the AfghanAtalan can face confidently.”
