Ahmed Shehzad Urges Gautam Gambhir To Apologise To Virat Kohli In A Noble Gesture

Pakistan opening batter Ahmed Shehzad stated that Gautam Gautam made a mistake by engaging in a verbal spat with Virat Kohli in the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL). Ahmed Shahzad emphasized that Gautam Gambhir should apologise to his former teammate Virat Kohli.

Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli were involved in a heated exchange following the IPL 2023 league stage match between the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Lucknow. Virat and Gambhir were fined 100 percent of their match fees for their on-field argument.

He Gave Away His Man Of The Match Award To Him – Ahmed Shehzad

During an appearance on the Nadir Ali podcast, Ahmed Shehzad recalled Gautam Gambhir’s gesture of sharing his Man of the Match award with Virat Kohli in a match against Sri Lanka in 2009.

“See this is not my work, but I am giving my opinion only because you have asked me. I might be wrong. From the outside, I think it is Gambhir’s mistake. If he wants to show his nobility, Gautam Gambhir should call Virat Kohli on his phone and apologize,” Ahmed Shehzad said.

“If Gambhir does that, yes, we will agree that he came out as the bigger man, how much he loves Virat Kohli, how he gave away his Man of the Match award to him,” he added.

I Have Never Seen Such A Thing – Ahmed Shehzad

Shehzad went on to say that he had never witnessed a coaching staff member engaging in a fight with an opposition player before.

“See from outside, it looks bad. In my life, I have never seen a member of any team’s management jumped into a battle between players. I have never seen such a thing,” he concluded.
