Delhi Capitals’ middle-order batsman Ajinkya Rahane has been amongst the many to come forward and help as India battles a vicious second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. Ajinkya Rahane has donated 30 Oxygen concentrators to Mission Vayu, with the nation struggling for oxygen cylinders for critical patients. Mahratta Chamber of Commerce announced that they would send these concentrators to the most affected parts of Maharashtra.

India has witnessed more than 300000 instances of COVID-19 in the last several days, with the fatalities rising alarmingly too. The sub-continent nation has sought help from several countries, including the United States of America, Romania, Ireland, and Russia. Many state governments have resorted to complete lockdowns to curb the spread of the virus.

Ajinkya Rahane has joined the likes of Brett Lee, Pat Cummins, Sachin Tendulkar, Shikhar Dhawan, Jaydev Unadkat, Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals, and Sreevats Goswami to contribute to the nation’s recovery from the second wave of the COVID-19 outbreak. Players have also been constantly spreading awareness amongst people to maintain all the precautions and stay safe.
