‘All-format superstar Yashasvi Jaiswal is better than Shubman Gill’ - Twitter reacts to batter’s Delhi Test century

Indian left-handed batting maestro Yashasvi Jaiswal scored his 7th Test hundred against the West Indies at the Arun Jaitley Stadium; with this century, he is only behind the great Sachin Tendulkar on the list of most Test centuries at the age of 23 by an Indian.
India are playing their second match of the two-match Test series against the West Indies at New Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium. On Day 1 of the first Test, Shubman Gill, the Indian skipper, won the toss and opted to bat first.
The Arun Jaitley is often known as one of the friendliest batting tracks of India, and Indian opener Jaiswal has proved it right with a stupendous innings under pressure. Jaiswal missed out on runs in the end part of the England series and also got out early in the First Test of the home series; hence, he was chasing runs.
Yashasvi Jaiswal nears Sachin Tendulkar's record with epic Test hundred
Despite KL Rahul's early dismissal on the Delhi Capitals' home ground, the 23-year-old left-handed Indian batter held his nerve and batted staunchly against the West Indian attack, which looked like toddlers in front of the Indian batsmen.
While Jasiwal kept his cool and batted with utter brilliance throughout his partnerships with KL Rahul and then Sai Sudharsan, he got to his seventh Test hundred off just 145 balls. This marked his 3rd Hundred on Indian soil, with the remaining four coming in Australia, the West Indies, and England.
At an age of less than 24, he is among the greats to have scored 7 Test hundreds. While Don Bradman tops the list with 12 hundreds before turning 24, Sachin Tendulkar sits second with 11 to his name, and is followed by Sir Garfield Sobers with 9 hundreds.
Jaiswal has, however, levelled himself with the likes of Javed Miandad, Graeme Smith, Alastair Cook, and Kane Williamson on the list of cricketers with 7 hundreds before turning 24. He is also India's third-most-century scorer in WTC history with 7 to his name.
Sai Sudharsan gets into his groove - Second Test half-century in Second Test against West Indies
Alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal, another cricketer who caught the attention of all in this match is Sai Sudharsan. Though all Indian fans are well aware of Sai Sudharsan's calibre as a cricketer, his return to form was highly anticipated ever since his debut in the longest format of the game.
With just one-half century in the England tour, he ended up scoring just 140 runs in the 6 innings and later missed out on something special in the first Test at Ahmedabad as well. However, this time, having been handed the opportunity with Rahul's early dismissal, he contributed heavily to the partnership alongside Jaiswal.
Sudharsan is now batting on 71* at Tea on Day 1 of the second Test and would be eyeing his maiden Test hundred to retain a place as India's No. 3 in the next Test series against South Africa, which is scheduled to be held later this year.
