Pakistani anchor Zainab Abbas made a hilarious blunder while interviewing West Indian fast-bowler Alzarri Joseph. The right-arm pacer is currently plying his trade for Peshawar Zalmi in the ongoing IPL 2025.

The incident took place after the match between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators on Sunday (April 27). After the Quetta Gladiators' innings came to an end, Zainab Abbas interviewed Alzarri Joseph.

The West Indies star had a good outing with the ball as he finished the innings with impressive figures of 3 for 33 off 4 overs.

Peshawar Zalmi struggling in PSL X

Alzarri Joseph gave Zalmi the first breakthrough in the match by dismissing the dangerous Finn Allen for 31. He then dismissed a well-set Kusal Mendis for 32 before sending back Faheem Ashraf as well.

Coming to the interview, Zainab Abbas hilariously asked Alzarri Joseph about dismissing Saim Ayub as she forgot that both players are teammates.

"Do you have any specific plan for somebody like Saim Ayub, you got the all-important wicket against him. He has sort of struggled in the PSL, but he's always a crucial wicket because he can sort of take the game away," said Zainab Abbas.

Joseph was taken aback by the question and responded by saying: "Excuse me, who's that?"

While Zainab Abbas had the opportunity to correct the mistake, she fumbled again and said: "Saim Ayub."

In reply, Joseph reminded the anchor that Ayub is his teamate: "That's my teammate."

Zainab finally realised her mistake and said: "I'm saying, sorry, what I'm trying to ask is that you know, you've been facing him in the net."

Zalmi handed their 5th loss of the season

Talking about the game, Joseph's effort went in vain as the Gladiators thrashed Zalmi by 64 runs. Batting first, the Gladiators scored 178/7 in the allotted 20 overs. While no Gladiators batsmen could score a fifty in the game, three of them crossed the 30-run mark.

In reply, the Zalmi were all out for just 114 runs. Barring Hussain Talat (39), no other batter could even reach the 20-run mark. For the Gladiators, Faheem Ashraf picked up 5 wickets.
