Former Chennai Super Kings player Ambati Rayudu has potentially accepted his defeat against the fans of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) after the Rajat Patidar-led side beat five-time champions in IPL 2025. The match between the two teams took place on Friday (28th March) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru breached the fortress of Chepauk Stadium as they, for the first time in 18 years, beat Chennai Super Kings in their home ground. The Rajat Patidar-led side thrashed the Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side by 50 runs to register their second win of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.

The rivalry between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Chennai Super Kings intensified last year when the Bengaluru-based franchise knocked out the five-time champions from the tournament. RCB celebrated the win wildly, and it didn't go well with CSK fans as well as Rayudu.

Rayudu mentioned that Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) celebrated the way as if they won the tournament. He also mocked the franchise for not winning the title despite not having superstars. After that, he then didn't shy away from taking a dig at the team when the franchise lost in playoffs.

Ahead of the clash between the two teams in the IPL 2025 as well, Rayudu mocked Royal Challengers Bengaluru yet again. He said that the franchise is needed in the IPL for entertainment. He also said that he has laughed at the RCB for what they have done over the years in the league.

But with RCB beating CSK in the IPL 2025 clash, the fans of the Rajat Patidar-led side didn't go easy on Ambati Rayudu. An RCB fan page took a dig at the former player of Chennai Super Kings by posting a missing notice for him.

"We are getting worried. A certain member of the panel has been found missing online for the last two hours. If anyone has any knowledge about it, please reach out. We hope Ambati Rayudu is doing okay," posted the RCB fan page.

Rayudu, however, fired back after the fan page dragged him post-CSK's loss to RCB. He acknowledged the post, saying this is how banter is supposed to happen, adding that RCB have a great team this year. Taking to his Instagram account, he said:

"Hahahaha good one .. @rcbfans.official. This is exactly how banter is supposed to be.. you guys have a great team this year and you can hope for the best."
