Anshul Kamboj eyes probable debut at Manchester

At the training session on Monday, India had their four main pacers, Mohammed Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah, Prasidh Krishna, and new recruit Anshul Kamboj, bowling in the nets. As reported by TOI, the coaches had a particularly close watch over the uncapped seamer.

With the current situation of Team India pacers, with the likes of Arshdeep Singh injured and even Akash Deep seeming doubtful, they will have to either choose between Prasidh Krishna, who has been uneconomical in the series, Shardul Thakur, who played at Leeds, or Anshul Kamboj, the new recruit.

Hence, it is highly likely for Anshul Kamboj to make his debut at Manchester alongside the other quicks for India.

Indian pacers struggle with Injury; set to miss 4th Test

Several among Indian pacers have struggled with injury concerns in recent times. The latest set of injuries has come amid the ongoing preparations for the India vs England Fourth Test at Old Trafford in Manchester.

The Shubman Gill-led side has already picked the maximum number of pacers, with Mohammed Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Akash Deep, Prasidh Krishna, Shardul Thakur, and Nitish Kumar Reddy.

Despite this, they have faced criticism in the bowling department at times. Now, Arshdeep Singh has been ruled out with an injury to his bowling arm, Akash Deep is struggling with his groin issues, and hence cannot be confirmed for the 4th Test until the physios give the green signal.

Nitish Kumar Reddy has also faced an injury to his left knee, as the all-rounder will miss the remainder of the series.

Mohammed Siraj confirms Jasprit Bumrah's availability but has no updates on the Playing XI

Amid the loud claims from cricket pundits about making Jasprit Bumrah play both the remaining Tests, Siraj has confirmed in the press conference that Bumrah will play at Manchester.

Though he also said that there is nothing like the workload he feels at the moment, God has kept him fit, and he is ready to make the most of the opportunities by featuring as much as he can in matches for the nation. However, he concluded by saying that he had no update on the Playing 11 for the next game.
