Yashasvi Jaiswal smashes sensational century
The opening batsman Jaiswal emerged as the best batsman in the fifth Test match in London and slammed his sixth century in Test cricket.
Jaiswal didn't have his best of the series on the England tour, but he switched on his beast mode in his final innings and helped India get into a dominating position.
He played an attacking brand of cricket on Day 2, and his risk-filled strokes helped him hit a 44-ball fifty. Then, on Day 3, Jaiswal toned down his approach, but still batted with great confidence.
He kept batting brilliantly and completed his century in the 51st over, which was bowled by pacer Gus Atkinson. Jaiswal reached the three-figure landmark off 127 balls and celebrated the milestone by blowing flying kisses.
He eventually finished his innings with a score of 118 runs off 164 balls, with 14 fours and 2 sixes, and looked quite dejected after falling to Josh Tongue.
Sachin Tendulkar, Sanjay Manjrekar in awe of Yashasvi Jaiswal
God of Cricket, Sachin Tendulkar, took to X to shower rich praise on the left-handed batter for showing good courage and concentration. He said:
"Outstanding 100 by Yashasvi on a sporting pitch that tested courage and concentration. Full marks to Akashdeep too, batting with heart and determination under pressure. Keep fighting, India."
Meanwhile, Sanjay Manjrekar was mighty impressed with Jaiswal, while Irfan Pathan labelled him as the most talented left-hander going around in Test cricket.
"160 & a couple of quality 80s in Australia in BGT, only batter who carried his form in that series. Now 2 hundreds in England! One in the first Test and this in the last. Again carrying form till the end. Take a bow Yashasvi Jaiswal!" Sanjay Manjrekar stated.
"Yashasvi Jaiswal, the most talented left-hander going around in test cricket at the moment. High pressure," Irfan Pathan wrote.

Wonder who takes a bigger leap after century - Yashasvi Jaiswal or David Warner. Fantastic knock from Jaiswal this, feels like normalcy has resumed. #ENGvIND

Yashasvi Jaiswal is one hell of a player. Just 23. Imagine how good he'll be next he comes back to England...

Jaiswal's debut series in Aus & Eng this year and he did fairly well in both, what a gem India found.

Great example of game awareness and playing the conditions. Almost half of his runs have come behind square, he's used the extra bounce to his advantage. Well played @ybj_19 👏🏻 #ENGvIND pic.twitter.com/5TqBH6Heq4
