After being initially ignored by the Mumbai Cricket team squad for the upcoming edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar has now been included in the squad.
Arjun Tendulkar had initially missed out after having failed to make an impression in the warm-up T2O matches. But with the BCCI allowing state associations to include 22 members in their squad, the Mumbai Cricket Association has decided to include the all-rounder in the bloated squad.
In the warm-ups, Arjun Tendulkar had just managed 7 runs besides claiming four wickets in as many matches. This will be Arjun’s first season with the senior Mumbai team. He was also in contention in the lead-up to 2018/19 but missed out.
Arjun, however, has represented India in Youth matches. He also has the experience of bowling in the nets of India and England Cricket Teams.
Meanwhile, Mumbai will be led by swashbuckler Surya Kumar Yadav while stumper Aditya Tare will serve as his deputy.
