While holding a mic during a team shoot, the PBKS fast bowler brought up the word “cute” in a cheeky way, clearly hinting at the recent Chahal-Taniya controversy. The moment he said it, the entire group, including young players Musheer Khan and Priyansh Arya, burst out laughing.

In the viral clip, Arshdeep was repeatedly saying, “Cute se yaad aaya” while looking at Chahal, who left embarrassed, but he brilliantly handled the trolling while having some fun with the young batter Priyansh Arya at that moment. But the spinner’s reaction clearly hinted at how he felt.

The clip went viral on social media and triggered heavy reactions from fans. As the situation grew bigger, things took a legal turn. It is being said that Chahal has filed a defamation case, saying that the video was shared without full context and damaged his image.

On the other side, Taniya also reacted strongly, saying she was shocked by how her small act caught massive attention and felt she was being unfairly targeted.

Defamation ka case unhone mere upar bheja (I had no idea it would go this viral). And they’re trolling me the most, yaar. I’m the one getting defamed. They’re completely fine—nothing is happening to them. They’ve even filed a defamation case against me).”

Speaking about Punjab Kings, they are currently the only unbeaten side in the ongoing IPL 2026 with four wins in a row, with one game washed out against KKR. PBKS is currently leading the points table and gearing up to face Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on April 19 in Chandigarh.
