After Kevin Pietersen, Michael Vaughan has also expressed his concerns about Ashes 2021-22 involving England and Australia. The Ashes series along with the T20 World Cup will make the English players stay away from home for four months. Meanwhile, if the England players can take their families along with them for the full tour is also uncertain. Meanwhile, Vaughan has said that the Ashes series can be called off if the players are not allowed to take their families along with them.
The former England skipper expressed his reservations regarding the upcoming Ashes series. Meanwhile, a Daily Mail report claimed that the England players might not be allowed to take their families in the four-month-long tour.
“Read reports today that England cricketers may not be able to have family members with them down under this winter .. Quite simply if they can’t they should call the Ashes off .. 4 months away from your family is totally unacceptable .. #Ashes,” Vaughan wrote on his Twitter handle.

Michael Vaughan Backs Ashes 2021-22 To Be Called Off
Meanwhile, a report in the Sydney Morning Herald said that Cricket Australia is seeking a way out to amend the problem with the series still being a lot time away. The five-match Ashes series will be played between December 8 to January 18.
“It’s only June and England are not due to arrive until November,” a CA spokeswoman told the ‘Sydney Morning Herald.

Meanwhile, England will be on the road with their tours to Bangladesh and Pakistan starting in September. The T20 World Cup will be played between October-November with their four-month trip ending with the Ashes in January.
England recently hosted New Zealand for two tests ahead of the World Test Championship final. They will be hosting Sri Lanka for a white-ball series comprising of three ODIs and as many T20Is between June 23-July 04.
