England pacer Stuart Broad lauded James Anderson’s work ethics and said that the veteran pacer is a better bowler now than he was four years ago. Stuart Broad believes that James Anderson has grown as much in the past year as anyone under skipper Ben Stokes and coach Brendon McCullum.

James Anderson is the leading wicket-taker among pacers in the solo format of the games, picking up 685 wickets in 179 Test matches. The right-arm pacer, who will turn 41 next month, has picked up 28 wickets in seven matches at an impressive average of 17.21 since celebrating his 40th birthday.

He’s An Addict To Cricket – Stuart Broad

Speaking on the Legends of the Ashes podcast, Stuart Broad said that Anderson is addicted to training and improving his fitness all the time.

“Jimmy’s incredibly competitive. That’s his number one strength. He’s probably the most competitive person I’ve seen bar Jos Buttler in any sport that he plays. But he’s very driven. He’s an addict to cricket, to be honest,” Broad said.
