Australian spinner Nathan Lyon opened up about coming to bat on Day 4 of the second Test match in the ongoing Ashes series despite being injured earlier in the match. Nathan Lyon admitted that he was aware of the extent of his injury but was determined to contribute to his team in the match.
The 35-year-old sustained a calf injury while fielding at the boundary line. The veteran off-spinner left the field after the incident and could only bowl 13 overs in the first innings of the match. It is unlikely that he will be able to bowl on the final day of the match at Lord’s Cricket Ground on Sunday, July 2.
