Veteran opening batter Usman Khawaja confirmed the ongoing five-match Test series between England and Australia might be his last Ashes series in English conditions. Usman Khawaja revealed how he prepared to face English bowlers in England, where he averages less than 20 in red-ball cricket.
Usman Khawaja scored his first Test hundred in English conditions on Day 2 of the first Test at Edgbaston on Saturday, June 17. The left-handed batter has kept Australia in the game by adding valuable partnerships with his batting partners, despite English bowlers picking up wickets at regular intervals.

My Wife Has Been Awesome To Me – Usman Khwaja
In the post-match press conference, Usman Khawaja said that whether he gets a duck or a century, he wants to enjoy the final stages of his cricketing career.
“These young ones keep me young and make me realise that there’s a lot to life and a lot of good stuff after I stop playing cricket. So for me, it’s just about enjoying it. My wife has been awesome to me, she’s been my rock throughout my career,” said Khawaja.
“That perspective makes it a lot easier for me to go out there and just enjoy it as much as I can, whether I get a duck or a hundred. Every Test match is a bonus for me because we thought my career was over. In my head, it’s the last (Ashes) tour I’ll be on, unless I pull a Jimmy Anderson and come back when I’m 41,” he added.
