According to a report by the Daily Mail, the ECB is considering offering multi-year contracts to their top players as part of the upcoming central contracts. The report also mentioned that the match fees for players will be increased when the contracts are issued in October.
The move comes as franchise teams are offering contracts to secure talented players in the highly competitive global cricket market. Despite financial constraints, the ECB is willing to invest in retaining key talent within the national team, showcasing their commitment.
