High-flying England have received a major boost ahead of the do-or-die fourth Ashes Test against Australia. The penultimate match of the five-match series is scheduled to be played on July 19 in Manchester.
The series is currently 2-1 in Australia’s favor but the momentum is on England’s side after their win in the third Test. The hosts needed to win the game at all costs to keep their hopes of winning the series alive and they did it in style. Australia, on the other hand, will be looking to bounce back after suffering the three-wicket defeat at Headingley.

The visitors need just one positive result from the last two Tests to retain the Ashes. They are also on the verge of winning their first Ashes series in England since 2001. Australia have endured a tough time in England in recent years and have an opportunity to put an end to its winless streak on English soil.
England receive big boost ahead of fourth Test:
England, on the other hand, will be looking to make the most of the momentum and win the upcoming Test. The English outfit has not won the Ashes since the series win at home in 2015. They lost the Ashes after losing the series in Australia in the 2017/18 season and are yet to reclaim it.

And ahead of the crucial must-win fourth Test, England have received a massive boost. Their star bowler Ollie Robinson will be fit for the clash at Old Trafford. Robinson suffered a back spasm on the opening day of the third Test and bowled just 11.2 overs in the first innings while not bowling at all in the second innings. But ahead of the upcoming game, he has declared himself fit.
“That medical team said that it’s likely to have happened because I played back-to-back Test matches, and bowled 15 overs of bumpers at Lord’s,” Robinson wrote in his column for Wisden.com.
“So sometimes these things come around, but then they go just as quickly as well. I’m 100 percent fit for Manchester.”
Robinson has done well for England so far. With 10 wickets to his name, he is the second-highest wicket-taker for England in the series behind Stuart Broad (16 wickets). With the likes of Mark Wood, Chris Woakes, James Anderson, and Josh Tongue also available for selection, it would be interesting to see England’s bowling lineup for the fourth Test.
