AUS vs NED: Watch: David Warner Takes A Blinder At Boundary Ropes To Dismiss Sybrand Engelbrecht

David Warner hasn’t put a foot wrong in the ongoing match 24 of the ICC World Cup 2023 against the Netherlands. The Australian opener has been electric on the field as he took a stupendous catch at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. 

David Warner took a screamer at the boundary ropes that sent Sybrand Engelbrecht packing in Delhi. The Dutch batter played a hard shot off Micthell Marsh’s ball during the 14th over that was inching towards the sixth but the Australian batter pulled the back out of the boundary and pouched it. 

David Warner leaped up seamlessly and despite being close to the boundary rope, he took a brilliant catch. His effort was lauded by one and all on the ground and even made his teammates applaud him.

Sybrand Engelbrecht could manage just 11 runs. After that Netherlands wickets fell like a pack of cards. Australian bowlers were all over the batters and couldn’t let them settle at all. Adam Zampa picked four wickets whereas others chipped in as well as they bundled out the opposition for just 90 runs to win their third game of the tournament and improve their NRR.

David Warner played a magical innings against the Netherlands as he slammed his second consecutive century of the ICC World Cup 2023. Opening the batting, the southpaw looked in great touch. He continued from where he left off in Bengaluru and helped his team win the game. 

With his ton, David Warner achieved a historic feat as he shattered the massive record of Ricky Ponting. The southpaw became the Australian player with the most centuries in the history of World Cups as he now has 6 tons in the tournament. 

David Warner also surpassed Sachin Tendulkar and now has the second most centuries in the World Cups. He only has Rohit Sharma ahead of him now. Based on his rollicking century and Glenn Maxwell’s ton, Australia posted a mammoth total of 399 runs on the board.
