“That was just great. Just Merry Christmas gifts and lollipops for the kids. So that was great. We’ve got a good relationship with the Pakistan side. That tour a couple of years ago was really special as well. So really kind and thoughtful of their group to think of us,” Cummins said.

While Pakistan have been a great team off the field with their kind gestures, their on-field performance has not been up to the mark. They have now lost 16 consecutive Test matches on Australian soil. They haven’t registered a Test victory in Australia since 1995.

Australia won the first Test by 360 runs and the second by 79 runs. The third and final Test in Sydney starts from January 3. After losing the second Test, Pakistan Team Director, Mohammad Hafeez said that Pakistan were the better team in the second Test despite losing the second Test and the series.

“We played better cricket as a team. I’m proud of that. The way the team had the courage to attack this game in the best possible way. Our batting intent was better, and while bowling, we were hitting the right areas. ” We made some mistakes that cost us the game but as a team I believe that there were a lot of positives, enough to win the game but unfortunately in the end we didn’t win the game,” Hafeez said after the loss at MCG.
