Australian Cricket Team thrashed the mighty Proteas in the 1st Test Match at the Gabba. The hosts displayed one of the finest bowling performances as they were quite disciplined in their approach. Skipper Pat Cummins had a great outing as he took 7 wickets which included one 5 wicket haul in the 2nd innings.

The Proteas would be utterly disappointed with their batting performance as another 100-odd run would have made the difference. The Skipper Dean Elgar must be quite happy with the bowling unit as they gave a reality check to Australia and would be hoping for a better performance with the bat.

Reetinder Sodhi on Gabba Pitch

Reetinder Sodhi was seen interacting with India News and was asked about the 1st Test match between Australia & South Africa. “It is not a great exhibition for Test cricket if you’re using the pitch to get wickets. Even a normal bowler can make the ball seam on such a green pitch. That doesn’t help anyone judge the true quality of a bowler. So personally, Test matches should go on for 4-5 days and wicket has to play a really crucial role.” said Reetinder Sodhi.

Exciting Contest on Cards

South Africa would be roaring to make an impact in the Boxing Dat Test Match. It won’t be wrong to say that Proteas has a threatening bowling unit as they have got sheer pace. The visitors have won three back-to-back Test Series in Australia and would be keen to keep the winning run.

Australia on the other hand would be expecting that David Warner hits form as the left-handed batter is struggling and looks in two minds whether to attack or defend. The veteran batter holds the key as every time Travis Head won’t bail out the team.
