Australia Playing 11 vs West Indies- 2nd T20I, Australia tour of West Indies 2025:

Openers: Mitchell Marsh (c), Jake Fraser-McGurk

The visitors would be happy with the way their batters performed in the first of the five-match T20I series against West Indies and would like to carry that form into the second match

The batting lineup had a new look to it in the absence of names like Steve Smith and many other seasoned T20 players who we are used to seeing in the Australian squad.

The former T20 World Cup winners are expected to go in the second match with an unchanged playing XI as the Aussies are not known for making unnecessary changes to a winning combination.

Captain Mitchell Marsh and young batter Jake Fraser-McGurk will be the two openers for Australia in the second match of the series.

Marsh has had a good start to the series with a quick-fire knock of 24 runs off 17 balls in the first T20I and would like to build on it and play another match-winning innings in the next game.

McGurk, on the other hand, would be disappointed after getting out early in what were good batting conditions in the last match and will look to get things right in the upcoming match.

Both Marsh and McGurk are naturally aggressive batters and would want to play in that way during the second T20I.

Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Josh Inglis (wk), Cameron Green, Glenn Maxwell, Mitchell Owen, Cooper Connolly

The opening duo will be followed by a middle order that steadied the ship after losing McGurk early in the last match, courtesy of half-centuries from the bat of Cameron Green and Mitchell Owen.

The middle order is expected to have the same personnel that featured in the opening match of the series, which bats till number seven and includes the likes of Josh Inglis, Glenn Maxwell, and Cooper Connolly.

One of the biggest advantages that the Aussies have is that four of their top seven batters are fit to bowl and can chip in with an over or two if required, which provides a good balance to the team.

Bowlers: Ben Dwarshuis, Sean Abbott, Nathan Ellis, Adam Zampa

Like their batting, the bowling has also banked on white ball specialists like Ben Dwarshuis, Sean Abbott, Nathan Ellis, and Adam Zampa.

The team's fast bowling will be handled by Ben Dwarshuis, Sean Abbott, and Nathan Ellis, with assistance from Mitchell Marsh and Mitchell Owen.

As far as Australia's spin bowling department is concerned, it will be taken care of by Adam Zampa, along with Glenn Maxwell and Cooper Connolly.

Aussies are expected to retain the same bowling combination that took the field in the first T20I.
