Nitish Kumar Reddy got the big breakthrough on the first ball of the final over of Afghanistan’s innings. Rashid tried to hit across the line but failed to time the shot properly, sending the ball high towards deep square leg.
Axar Patel immediately ran to his left and covered a lot of ground before putting in a full-length dive. He managed to get his hands under the ball just inches above the ground, completing a sensational full-length diving catch to dismiss Rashid.
His incredible efforts ended Rashid’s attacking knock of 28 off 16 balls, including three fours and one six, but it was Axar’s superb fielding efforts that stole all the limelight at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Nitish Kumar Reddy steals the show as India restrict Afghanistan to 159/8
Meanwhile, Nitish Kumar Reddy delivered another impressive performance with the ball as India kept Afghanistan under control and restricted them to 159/8 in the second T20I in Delhi.
India made a dream start as Jasprit Bumrah bowled a maiden first over, while Arshdeep Singh dismissed Rahmanullah Gurbaz for his second straight duck of the ongoing three-match T20I series. Afghanistan were at 2/1 in one stage, but they recovered well to reach 41/1 in the powerplay.
Nitish then changed the game with his first ball, removing Ibrahim Zadran for 37 and breaking a 51-run stand. Ravi Bishnoi soon dismissed Sediqullah Atal, leaving Afghanistan 67/3 after 10 overs. Amid this, “I’m not over-trying”: Ishan Kishan opens up on his current batting mindset.

Chasing the target, the Indian cricket team delivered another dominant display. But this time, Sanju Samson was the star. After a slow start, Samson exploded in the final three overs of the powerplay and helped India reach 82/0. The game was almost over at that stage.
Rashid Khan tried to bring Afghanistan back by dismissing Abhishek Sharma for 39, Samson for 57, and Shreyas Iyer, but it was too late. Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma completed the chase without trouble. India chased 157 in 13.4 overs, sealing the T20I series with a seven-wicket win in Delhi.
