India all-rounder Axar Patel has good news coming out from his family. The left-arm spinner has recently confirmed his wife Meha's pregnancy through a heartwarming video on his social media account.
Ever since the news arrived, there has been joy among his supporters and fans with many of them congratulating the couple. Many renowned names like former India cricketer Munaf Patel and Devisha Shetty (Suryakumar Yadav's wife) also congratulated the couple for the good news.
The video shared by Axar contains special moments of Axar Patel and Meha Patel, who were excited to become parents. While sharing the video, Axar captioned it, "A great joy is coming."

Recently, Axar was in 'The Great Indian Kapil Show' on Netflix where he had hinted about some exciting news ahead. Now, Axar has officially announced the great news which will be a great moment for the couple.
Other members of India's T20 World Cup 2024-winning team like Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dube, and Arshdeep Singh also marked their presence in the show which garnered lots of views.
Axar Patel was recently a part of India's Test squad for the two-match Test series against Bangladesh but did not get a game as India went with three seamers in both Tests. R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja played as two frontline spinners for the Men in Blue.

The allrounder is a regular member of India's T20I squad after the retirement of Ravindra Jadeja but he is not a part of India's current T20I squad for the three-match series against Bangladesh. Axar has been allowed to spend some family time.
Over the years, Axar Patel has been a shadow of Ravindra Jadeja and has often struggled to make it to India's strongest Playing XI. With Jadeja being the senior and a key member of India's teams across formats, Axar had to wait for his opportunity.
However, his patience paid off as he kept on enhancing his skills with both bat and ball. The 30-year-old is now a dependable lower-order batter and a brilliant left-arm spinner who can bowl in any situation of the game. Adding his fielding skills to his asset, he is one of the most useful cricketers in the world at the moment.
Axar Patel's role in T20 World Cup 2024 win
Axar was also a part of India's T20 World Cup 2024 squad that clinched the title in June this year. The allrounder played crucial cameos throughout the tournament with bat, ball, and in the field.
In the all-important final against South Africa, the allrounder scored 47 off 31 balls after coming under immense pressure when India were reduced to 34-3. But his crucial partnership with Virat Kohli helped India score a brilliant first innings total that just proved to be enough in the end.
In the same tournament, Patel finished with 3-23 in the semifinal against England. With conditions favoring slow bowling, Axar made full use and varied his pace to trouble the English batters. He played all the matches of the T20 World Cup 2024 and was crucial to India's historic title win.
