Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has revealed the reasons behind changes made in the Pakistan T20 Worldcup squad and defended the decision to make changes as well. Pakistan already included veteran batsmen Shoaib Malik in the T20 Worldcup squad recently, and apart from that, they have included former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed, Haider Ali, and Fakhar Zaman into the squad.
Azam Khan, Muhammad Hasnain, and Kushdil Shah are the three players who have been removed from the squad for the T20 Worldcup in UAE and Oman. Pakistan has won the tournament way back in 2009 and has always been a good T20 side. They have brought in a lot of experience, and it will be interesting to see if they could challenge for the cup.
Babar Azam Defends The Decisions For Change Of Players
Babar Azam defended the decision of the Pakistan selection committee that had changed three players from the squad, and he revealed the reason behind it to be the performance of the players. Babar Azam has also predicted Kane Williamson to end up as the highest run-scorer while picking Hasan Ali as the highest wicket-taker.
“Some players were not in a fine touch during the domestic tournament. Changes were made to the squad since some players were not able to perform well,”
“Kane Williamson as batter and Hasan Ali will be the bowler who would have a successful T20 World Cup 2021,” Babar Azam told in a video conference.

“Representing my country is an honour for me, and I feel proud to sit here as the captain. It is a new challenge, and I believe we will do better.” He added
