India’s women’s cricket team is currently taking on Bangladesh’s women’s cricket team in the third and final ODI of the three-match series in Dhaka on Saturday, July 22. India’s skipper Harmanpreet Kaur grabbed attention with her behavior on the field after her dismissal.
Harmanpreet Kaur showed anger with the on-field umpire’s decision to dismiss her at the Shere Bangla National Stadium. The Indian team skipper was trapped in front of the stumps while attempting a sweep shot. The on-field umpire made the decision in favor of the hosts.

The incident took place during the 34th over of India’s innings. Kaur played a sweep shot in Nahida Akter’s bowling, but the ball hit her pads and went straight into the hands of the slip fielder. Kaur lost her cool and hit the stumps with her bat before going back to the pavilion.
The right-handed batter scored 14 runs off 20 balls before being dismissed. She gestured towards the umpire, indicating that the ball hit the bat. She could face punishment from the match referee as her actions were a clear breach of the ICC’s playing regulations and behaviour code.

Earlier, the Bangladesh women’s team won the toss and opted to bat in the series decider. The home team managed to score 225 runs for the loss of four wickets in 50 overs. Opener Fargana Hoque smashed a century of 107 runs with the help of seven boundaries.
In response, the visiting team lost two wickets early. Shafali Varma and Yastika Bhatia were dismissed for low scores. Smriti Mandhana (59) and Harleen Deol (77) added a crucial partnership to steady the chase. The team needed 34 runs off 50 balls to seal the series.
