India will take on Bangladesh in the fourth match of the Super Four round of the Asia Cup 2025. This article provides details about Bangladesh's Playing 11 vs India for the upcoming match.
Bangladesh Playing XI vs India- Asia Cup 2025, Super 4, Match 4:
Openers: Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Saif Hassan
The Bengal Tigers would like to replicate the performance they delivered in the last match against Sri Lanka when they take on India at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
The Litton Das-led side would be happy with the way the team chased a tricky target of 169 runs against an in-form bowling lineup of Sri Lanka.
The chase was led by Saif Hassan, who scored a sensible half-century and held one end courtesy some intelligent batting.
Hassan was given good support by his opening partner, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, who played aggressively at the other end.
The duo mixed caution with aggression and got the tram off to a good start in the first six overs.
Bangla team management would wish for them to continue the form that both openers are in against India as well.
Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Litton Das (c & wk), Towhid Hridoy, Shamim Hossain, Jaker Ali, Nasum Ahmed, Mahedi Hasan
The middle order also fulfilled its role and made sure that the team was ahead in the chase for a major part of the second innings.
Credit must be given to captain Litton Das, who, although he didn't go on to score big, made sure that Bangladesh didn't lose back-to-back wickets after the dismissal of Tazid Hasan Tamim.
The partnership between Saif Hasan and Litton Das brought Bangladesh close to victory, which was sealed by Towhid Hridoy, who took his time and accelerated when needed, so that the team got over the line despite last-over drama.
The captain would want the top order to come good once again for them to challenge an in-form India with both bat and ball.
For that to happen, the top five batters will have to take the responsibility and score the bulk of the runs for the team against the likes of Jasprit Bumrah and the spin bowling trio of Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, and Varun Chakaravarthy.
Bowlers: Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam
As far as Bangladesh's bowling lineup is concerned, it has shown what it is capable o doing in the last few matches and would hope to put on a strong show against India as well.
It will be a battle of spin, considering the form of the spinners of both teams, which will decide where the game is heading.
The Bangla Tigers might bring in Rishad Hossain, who was not a part of the playing XI, if the conditions are extremely conducive for spin.
Having said that, the team might be reluctant to make any changes to a combination that played an almost perfect game against Sri Lanka.
Bangladesh's fast bowling department will be handled by Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, and Shoriful Islam, all of whom will play a crucial role in the match.
