Roger Binny became the 36th BCCI president and has replaced the former Captain Sourav Ganguly. Previously Roger Binny had served BCCI as a selector from 2012-15. The billion people would hope that under the new president Indian Cricket team ends the drought of ICC trophies of 9 years.

The all-rounder was also a part of the glorious ICC Cricket World Cup 1983 triumph where India won against all odds. The dashing Cricketer will have a strenuous task on hand due to the changing landscape of World Cricket where there is non-stop cricket.

Crucial Phase for Indian Cricket

The Men in Blue currently is going through a phase of reconstruction after the T20 World Cup exit. India’s next assignment is against Bangladesh where the team has to play 3 ODIs and 2 Test Matches.  The 2 Test Matches are quite vital as India not only has to win but register a dominating performance.

BCCI’s main agenda would be the upcoming Border Gavaskar Trophy 2023  which eventually would decide the finalists of the World Test Championship (WTC 2021-23). There are chances that there may be a change in the coaching staff too given India’s performance in T20 World up 2022. It would be interesting to see how the things unfold for Men in Blue in the upcoming Series.
